MY FIRST GAME UPLOADED


I've been making games for a few years now, but I've NEVER published not even one of them. Either by lack of confidence in the game (always trying to make it perfect)  or by simply not enjoying it. My closest game to ever get release was a game called The Cure. I spend 7 months on it and it was becoming something that I really enjoyed and that I felt confident that people would also like it... But after the 7 months of making the game, I lost the project... everything was gone, I had no online backup and it broke me to see that after those 7 months nothing concrete would get out of it... I eventually got into another project, but again, a long one. Until I decided to stop being in my own way. 

I joined a Jam for the first time. One week to make a game. And I decided to push myself harder, I never worked on a game with other people before, so now I would. One week, a few strangers and everything was new and excited for me. This stressful week was one of the most fun weeks I had in a while. Instead of making me feel tired at the end of the week, it made me feel full of energy and more inspired then ever! And with that energy, confidence and spirit that I received from these last 7 day, I'm now launching for the first time ever a game that I made by myself. It's not a perfect game, it's not a long game, but it's a game that I made and I had fun with it! So, yeah, it's time to let it go, and if I feel like the game could be better, or longer, or whatever, then I'll improve those parts in another game, but I won't let myself prevent me from publishing my not perfect/flawed  ideas anymore.
